Recently I have felt like my life is on fast forward while the remaining world around me is on slow motion mode. I barely have time to think of the next thing that needs accomplished and in what fashion I will attack it. For those of you that remember, the Pac Man game was a lot like that as well. They just keep throwing the ghosts at you until it was “game over”, thank you for your quarter. Then the good players found a pattern to the game and were able to capitalize on that pattern, reaching lofty high scores.

I need to find that pattern. Right now I have no lives left and the ghosts are coming at me with a fever pitch. My hands are working as fast as they can but the game continues to move slower. Meanwhile life has a way of piling on after a while. “What honey?……………..what do you mean we are pregnant again?…………you may not have a job why?……………which child is at the doctor’s office today?……….what do you mean I have to buy a minivan?

The ghosts are after me and I’m running out of real estate. Can you spare a quarter or two?

I need to come up with a recipe for a Daddy Cocktail to take every morning. Something that will get me started on the right path and motivate my day. I wonder how this would taste?

A GENUINE DADDY COCKTAIL

1 can Red Bull (I hear this stuff is like crack)
1 cup strong black coffee (Or 2 cups depending on your tolerance)
6 Tylenol Extra Strength (Too many high speed collisions)
1 Prozac (Enough said)
2 Fiber Tablets (I’m not going there)
1 raw egg (A guy needs his protein)
1 strip bacon (For garnish – it’s a pork fat thing)
1 tsp milk (Essential for strong and healthy bones)
1 1/2 ounces Crown Royal (have to get those shakes under control)
1 tsp Tabasco (not required but essential in any cool drink)

Now once you have slammed this drink down your gullet, you should be completely prepared to face your day. I’m sure that if it is not the perfect motivator, at least you know when finished with this Daddy Cocktail, your day can only get better!

I was watching my daughter interact with her friends today and something struck me and caused a moment of pondering. My baby is no longer a baby. She is a child, but that baby I was in awe over is now becoming a real person. I can remember when I first saw her come into the world. My whole life changed in an instant. I began to look at things in a different light completely. I had a song that I sang to her while I watched her sleep that day.

Yes, I am doing this for her…….

…..but mostly for her.

I used to actually get to read blogs before I started my blog business. I guess some things must be scarificed in order to become successful, but at what price? Since I began working late every night and have neglected my readership, I have seen a heavy decline in my site traffic.

See for yourself.

Was it something I said? Actually was it something I didn’t say? This is another very telling statistic when wanting to increase your blog traffic. The more sites you visit amd the more comments you leave on sites, the more your traffic will rise.

This awesome news I heard this morning! The Colorado Rockies my hometown team is picked by the odds makers in Las Vegas to finish dead last! Not last in their division, but at the bottom of all of baseball.

All of the anticipation and excitement of having Spring Training, and finally getting something to watch in the world of sports is slowly being eroded. I guess I need to move to NY or Boston! I think we should start handing out steroids in the locker room! Maybe if we score 20 runs per game we might have a chance!

I have made it to every opening day since the 1993 season when the Rockies had their first home game. The Rockies were touted as having the best fans in baseball for attendance, shattering all records. We never had Major League Baseball in Denver until 1993, and I’m beginning to thing we still don’t. Oh well, I suppose in light of the ranking, I could say we have nowhere to go but up. They have such an opportunity to shine! I guess you could say they are finishing as first of the worst!
