When they formulate a baby's formula to be more like breast milk with the same taste, how do they go about that?
Hey Norm.....comes taste this....does it taste like that stuff?
That sounds like a job I would get.
"Taste Liquid A. Taste Liquid B. Describe differences."
Only somehow I don't think I'd be lucky enough to get breast milk. Probably wind up as contract labor in a sperm bank or something...
that is too funny. From what I gather, formula always tasted grainy to me... and smelly. Never got up the nerve to taste my own (or anyone elses BM for that matter...) weird when you think about it... we will drink cows milk, but not a humans.. lmao. I know of a few men who I am sure would volunteer to get first hand taste tests.... FIRST HAND being the key words here... lmao. OH the joys of those first few months....
Um, well, I've tasted breastmilk. My own, that is. Call me curious. Not sure I'd be willing to taste someone else's.
I've always found formula to smell really different from breastmilk. My guess is that they work on imitating the chemical components of breastmilk, then they can figure out if they're on the right track by comparing the smell. But I'm just guessing.
Also, dude? Get some sleep.
OK, going out on a limb here, so don't be coming down on my for being an earthy mom-type...
I had a discussion with my two youngest the other moring about breast milk. Stay with me here. I am desperately trying to wean my daughter, but I seem to put out heroin-laced milk, and she is having the same extreme reluctance to wean that my first two had.
So, this is looking like a post.
*sigh*
*Goes for trackback info instead*
Short story: breast milk is sweet, very sweet. Formula is not. At least not in the same way...
