It was a special time in the hospital to be alone with our newborn and to have the nursing staff and everyone be at our beck and call, but alas we must get home to our own bed and to start discussing all the details with all of you!
I have to say though I do have a beautiful wife and child as evidenced by this spectacluar moment. I just need a sculpture of this to put on my desk!
We were finally on our way, but not after the obligatory going home shot in the new outfit. Actually, he had a different outfit on before this and the one we had chosen for the "go home picture" but he decided to try to put out a fire with his hose instead. I think the black tar is what caught fire! Ew! Actually this was the only shot he was not crying in. You see, someone had stolen a bit of skin from his private parts earlier, and I think he was still holding a grudge.
We are now sitting here listening to Vivaldi - Four Seasons. Mommy is enjoying the quite and daddy is getting his fix of blogging that has been absent these past two days. Okay, yes I posted yesterday, but that was just a bit of a bump. This is a real fix, you know, like a 50 Blogs a day habit. I might just post all night! Well, I might be doing it between feedings. I think I have the night shift! Insomnia has its advantages.
Lovely pictures. He's a little cutie pie! My babies will be 12 & 13 this year, but it doesn't seem so long ago they were tiny too!
AWWW! ADORABLE! So tiny! Can't believe my 11 wk old is already 14 lbs! They grow so friggin fast! (course she was BORN 8 lbs!). Are the kids home yet? What do they think of their little brother? Make sure you pamper mommy a bit, she DEFINITELY deserves it! Tell her I said she looks great in that picture...can't even tell she had a baby! Congrats and enjoy the sleepless nights!

Private Parts...seriously Genuine. Not a good idea to let newborn's watch Howard Stern's Biographical film before they've even left the hospital. The next thing you know, they'll be picking up hookers on Hollywood Blv., crack pipe in one hand and a lit $100 bill in the other...

The picture of Mom and Aidan is so special ... if I close my eyes, I can almost smell that sweet baby head smell. My daughters are old enough that my brain has filtered out those not-so-nice smells from memory. All that remains is the sweet smell of babies.
