I was watching my daughter interact with her friends today and something struck me and caused a moment of pondering. My baby is no longer a baby. She is a child, but that baby I was in awe over is now becoming a real person. I can remember when I first saw her come into the world. My whole life changed in an instant. I began to look at things in a different light completely. I had a song that I sang to her while I watched her sleep that day.

Thank you my sweet princess for making Daddy smile today.
Do you give lessons to other men on how to be a great husband and father?
Please start immediately. I have a few students for you.
Don't Blink Buddy...they grow up too quick! MY "baby" girl just went to Winter Formal yesterday (pics are on my Blog).
Talk about watching time slip away...she walked out in that Formal dress all gussied up and ready to go....And my heart dropped another few inches in my chest!
I still remember bringing her home from the hospital...and now she's going to dances...with BOYS! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!
I was just discussing this with hubby. We have one long wall in our living room that is "bordered" with 8x10s of the girls from birth through one year. I took them for pictures once each month for a year. The difference from one picture to the next is amazing! It reminds me to enjoy each moment, because they change and grow up in an instant.
I don't find myself getting misty as Colter grows ... I get more proud.
Of course he's 8, that might have something to do with that.
Yeah we grow up rather quick...right now she's coming into her own and getting a personality...fifteen minutes from now she'll be asking for tuition money. Just wait...I'm doing it to my parents
There's something I want to say here but I'll have to wait till the tears are gone. You are one cool guy, G. I love that song, too.
Ahhhh, it's even better than he is letting on...he used to lay his head in my lap and sing the song to my belly and wait for her to kick him...those are the best memories!
