There is good news and bad news following my eye surgery to improve my eyesight. Yesterday I went for my one month postoperative checkup, and my eyes are coming along nicely and I can return to all presurgery activites. This leads me to the bad news. My presurgery activities included not closing my eyes enough between openings. I have definitely returned to all presurgery insomnia levels. There was a time at 2:00 a.m. this morning when I thought about sewing my eyelids shut! Isn't there like a root I can eat to make it easier to sleep or something?
Melatonin - sold at GNC and other such places - in pill form. But, don't let Mrs. G get a hold of it - not bueno for pregnant or nursing moms.
Are you a caffeine drinker? If your are, it might help to not drink it after 3 in the afternoon. Other than that, I haven't got a clue.
Yes, I used the Meletonin in College to get my sleeping habits back on track! Worked well!
Also, I heard about your "man boobs"? LOL!! Kids!!!
Valerian works for some, but it can cause headaches. Some others are Kava kava, passionflower, and Rescue Remedy (that one works pretty well for me, it does have alcohol though).
I did have to go the prescription route, Ambien worked ok for awhile, and only tried Lunesta once, but need to try it again.
Sorry about the insomnia, it really sucks :( (though it did give me blog fodder last night)
I hate insomnia. It's been the bane of my existence all my life. Yes, you read that right. I've had insomnia since I was born. It's horrible.
Apparently the FDA has approved a new insomnia treatment. Saw it on the news this weekend.
But it means if it works it'll only take 10 years to get approved in Canada.
