Just when you thought it was safe for our kids from the politics of the world, they bring the politics to the kids. From Baby Politico we can buy clothing that can be worn by the kids that provide a political statement. Your child can be an early adopter of political causes and statements that mommy and daddy think is appropriate.

I was looking for something in the second amendment arena but found nothing. I think that I will introduce my idea of gun toting babies discussing the right to bear arms. I think the guys at this company should give me a call, I have some ideas. I wonder if they are going to adopt more political clothing lines? Perhaps a onesie with a new slogan like something along the line of "My father and my money went to Iraq"? [via Adrants]

Too many people now are confusing morality with politics. It is our job as parents to teach our children morals. Their political positions are up to them. Indoctrinating your child as a toddler, whether it be a conservative or liberal viewpoint, does not encourage your child to be a free thinker. We are NOT cloning ourselves. We are giving other people the tools they need to grow up and lead productive, independent lives. These shirts, along with the people who drag their kids to protests and rallies forcing them to carry signs are doing children and our country a disservice.
Thanks for the opportunity to rant Genuine, because I can't think of anything to write on my own blog.

Ah, yes. Nothing like exploiting your child by converting them into a walking, talking bilboard for your personal beliefs. After all, self-discovery and developing a sense of one's own identity are, like, soooo overrated.
